Have you ever felt like you don’t know how you got the job, the award, the role? Like your friends or colleagues are going to discover you’re a fraud and you feel you don’t actually deserve it?

If so, you’re in good company. These feelings are known as  impostor syndrome, or what psychologists often call impostor phenomenon. An estimated 70% of people experience these impostor feelings at some point in their lives

Whitney Smith obtain her BA in Mass Communication from Lincoln University in Oxford, PA (1999). Whitney’s credentials led her to attain a position with broadcast and telecommunications giant, Verizon Communications. Whitney served in several capacities, but it was her excellence in management sales that soon led her to gain managerial positions at two of the Big Four banking corporations, JP Morgan Chase Bank and Wells Fargo and Company, respectively. Whitney obtain an MBA at Long Island University; Whitney enjoyed the lifestyle she had acquired from her business affiliations. However, Whitney could not deny the Lord’s calling on her life. Whitney stepped down from Corporate America and stepped out on faith towards God’s plan.

Whitney obtain a master’s in divinity at New York Theological Seminary in New York, New York. In 2016. This spirit-led entrepreneur, author, transformational speaker, 8th grade ELA teacher at Bronx Prep Middle School, member of the Zeta Nu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and a Minister of The Greater Centennial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in Mount Vernon, NY is on the move changing lives with her gifts. Whitney is the author of Whit’s Notes: The College Cheat Sheet and her co-authored book Meeting the Authentic You and Don’t Drop Out on You. Whitney is also the Co-founder of the Annual GoGetIt! Women’s Empowerment Conference and the founder of Pivoting Into Purpose LLC, an organization that supports individuals and communities through programming that is designed to help people pivot into their next real of purpose.

She is the proud mother of an 19-year old honor roll student and athlete, Avery Valentine Turton who attends Union College in Schenectady, NY.
